Cat Beltmann is the President and Owner of So Good Consulting. She was raised in Apple Valley and attended the University of Minnesota where she received a B.A. in Political Science. Cat discovered her passion for community engagement during college. In 2007, she co-chaired a Citizens League Action Group that sought to make community engagement opportunities more accessible to the general public. The group hosted a volunteer speed match event that was held at the Varsity Theater in 2008. That same year, she joined the staff of the League where she worked until 2013.
During her tenure, she honed her skills in community engagement and event planning while serving in a variety of roles including Membership and Engagement Manager and Community Engagement Manager. While at the Citizens League, she produced six annual events that drew an average of 400 attendees, she managed the Policy and a Pint series in conjunction with 89.3 The Current, and co-created new engagement opportunities including the InterGenerational Speaker Series, Policy Tours, and The 2013 Generation Now Leadership Visit.
Cat has also been active in the Young Professional Community. She assisted in planning the inaugural Minnesota Rising Un/Conference in 2010 and served on the boards for the Young Nonprofit Professional Network – Twin Cities Chapter and the Young Nonprofit Professionals Network – National Board.
Cat lives in Little Canada with her husband and twin daughters. When she’s not taking care of her girls she enjoys travel, long summer weekends at the cabin, reading, and attending events she hasn’t planned.
